Delete Your OviPets Account

This page explains how to delete your OviPets account and personal data. We provide both an in‑app deletion flow and a web‑based request option, so you can initiate deletion even if you’ve uninstalled the app.

1. Delete from within the app (recommended)
- Open the OviPets app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation notes, then confirm deletion.
Note: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you change your mind, you’ll need to create a new account.
2. Request deletion by email (if you can’t access the app)
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to support@ovipets.com from your registered email address.
- Include: your username, the email tied to your account, and a brief request to delete the account.
We may ask for additional information to verify that the request originates from the account owner before proceeding with deletion.
3. What gets deleted
- Profile information, gameplay progress, items/credits, friends, and other in‑app data linked to your account.
- User‑generated content you have posted (where possible). In cases where removal would disrupt others’ experience (e.g., messages in shared threads), content may be anonymized instead of fully removed.
4. Timeline & verification
- We process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
- Some backups and logs may take up to an additional 60 days to purge, per our retention schedules.
- We may retain limited records as required by law (see below).
5. Subscriptions
Deleting your OviPets account does not automatically cancel any subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription in your platform account settings before requesting deletion:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
6. Legal retention
We may retain certain information as necessary to meet legal, regulatory, tax, fraud‑prevention, or security obligations. When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize the data.
7. Third‑party services
Some data may also be stored with our processors (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). We instruct them to delete associated data in line with your request and our retention schedules.
